The Project Director, Tamilnadu Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Project, Tamilnadu, Government of Tamilnadu has applied for a grant from the IDA and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant no: TF 053162 under IDA to payments under the contract for Human Resource Agency Consultancy.

Tamil Nadu Empowerment and Poverty Reduction Project (TNEPRP) is Govt. of Tamil Nadu’s initiative to reduce poverty and empower the disadvantaged in the state with World Bank assistance. 

A large number of Project facilitation team members are to be recruited for the project to work at the cluster level in 15 districts on behalf of the District Level Societies. The Project Facilitation Team members will be recruited from various Government departments by selection on deputation basis or from the open market purely on contractual basis. 

It is proposed to engage a Human Resource agency of national repute to identify and recruit persons with suitable skills, aptitude and experience for various positions in the project. The Human Resource agency should have substantial experience in recruiting for large Community Demand Driven projects. Individual consultants are not eligible.

Interested Human Resource agencies/firms with required experience are requested to provide information indicating their qualifications to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, no. of officers / staff available and availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.,).

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out the World Bank’s Guidelines Selection and Employment of Consultants by Bank Borrowers ( May 2004)
