TAMILNADU EMPOWERMENT AND POVERTY REDUCTION PROJECT
ASSISTED BY WORLD BANK

TamilNadu Empowerment & Poverty Reduction Project with funding from World Bank seeks to strengthen the efforts of the Government of TN to reduce the incidence of poverty by empowering disadvantaged people. The main objective will be to improve the social and economic positioning of disadvantaged people (particularly women) in order to sustainably improve their livelihood opportunities and living standards. The underlining principle will be to
promote decentralized management of resources and development. World Bank has approved the Project Concept Design for this 650 crores project to be implemented from (2004-2010). The Concept Paper of the Project is given below. NGOs, Development Consultants, Experts, Reputed organizations are reqested to send their feedback and valuable remarks.
